BLR Construction was engaged on a cost-plus basis to complete the restoration of the historical MacKenzie Quarters into a restaurant, bar and residence. Seamlessly creating new open spaces within the 140yr old building required skilful carpentry and detailing. With a high-end fitout that showcases the existing 1877 construction, perfection was key. Project challenges included, ensuring structural integrity of the heritage listed structure during construction, limited site area to establish a construction zone and multiple end use building classes within a sing heritage listed building.
