BLR delivered the clubroom renewal at Golden Square Recreation Reserve for the City of Greater Bendigo, rebuilding an ageing facility into one fit for the way community sport is played today.

The scope reached across the whole building , new team and change rooms, dedicated female amenities, umpires' facilities, an accessible WC, a netball room, kiosk, bar, foyer and multipurpose space , together with a new covered spectator area and reworked external open space. Much of it began with stripping out the tired existing fabric and building back better.

The project was staged deliberately so the clubs could keep playing throughout construction, with sequencing designed around a facility that never really stopped.

This is civic work in the truest sense , the everyday infrastructure a community actually lives in. Bringing an old clubroom up to a standard that makes room for women's sport, accessibility and real comfort takes more than framing and finishes. It takes care about who the building is for. That is the standard we hold, and the kind of work we are proud to do for our own region.
